THE STORY BEHIND ANNAPURNA LUSH
It was the end of monsoon in September. Rain and fog still made their daily visits to this region which I happily welcomed as they brought an atmospheric feel to the landscapes. While walking up the last stretch to Annapurna Base camp I turned around to look down the trail after crossing this small stream. I was in awe of the landscape, the lush green quality was something I didn't think I would see at that altitude just a short distance from base camp. The contrast of the high alpine rainforest with the glacial moraine below the snowy rugged mountains, I was captivated.
