THE STORY BEHIND UPPER PISANG
On the eastern side of the Annapurna circuit there is Lower or Upper Pisang. I chose the upper because I wanted to visit the monastery and see the valley layers to the north. I hiked up from the little teahouse to explore the village and as I was rounding a corner these prayer flags came into view with the beautiful layers of the valleys and ridges. After enjoying the view for some time I continued on to the monastery to offer a butter lamps and incense.
